I went to see Dream Theater mostly out of curiosity. I am not a hardcore fan and I only know some of their songs, but it felt like one of those opportunities you simply do not skip. I am so glad I went.

I was honestly flabbergasted. For most of the show, I found myself in complete awe of the music, the technique, and how effortlessly everything seemed to come together. Watching that level of musicianship live is something else entirely. It never felt rigid or overworked, just organic and incredibly precise.

The way the show was put together added so much to the experience. The lighting was beautifully done, giving dimension to the songs, highlighting different players exactly when it mattered, and bringing certain parts of the music into sharper focus. The transition between Rudess and Petrucci, for example, was superb.

The backdrops were just as impressive. They were immersive, creative, perfectly timed, and at moments even a little trippy. Everything felt intentional and carefully thought out.

There was so much happening at the same time that I could not stop looking. My attention was constantly drawn to something new, and yet it all felt cohesive. By the end, it was clear to me that this was one of the best live performances I have seen so far. Not just because of the technical brilliance, but because of how engaging and absorbing the entire experience was.
